I will go the opposite direction. We aren’t in a position as a franchise to tie up that much cap in a severely flawed player. It would have doomed us for years. It was the right move.

Then you trade him in 6-12 months. Why are yall all acting like this was our only option. We literally held all the cards. We've been discussing this ad nauseam for a year now and everyone was universally in agreement that we couldn't let him walk for nothing. Now that we have, yall are acting like it was our only option. I feel like I'm in the fricking twilight zone right now.

did 23 year old Lonzo not improve with us??? Was he not going to continue improving????
