When I was 12 years old, I was playing in a baseball game at the CYO, which is in downtown BR. Our team hit the ball really well so the team we were playing put their catcher, who caught every game in CF and moved their regular CF to LF. First inning, we're at the plate and former LSU WR Todd Kitchen was on 2B. It starts getting really dark and a loud "boom" happens. The CF and LF both go down. The LF gets up but the CF does not, Struck by lightning with a hole in his hat and one in each legging. Ambulance comes, takes him to the hospital where they bring him back to life and he lives on life support until I believe he was 18 years old. At that point, his parents decided to take him off of life support.

After that, been pretty skittish about lightning.
