I should also mention that the lady said ‘no immunity’ was offered by natural infection, which isn’t necessarily true. You will have a quicker immune response upon exposure to the same virus, with a range of symptoms possible. RNA viruses have used their high mutation rates, enabled by a lack of proofreading, to ensure they can be responsive to environmental pressures. That characteristic is more prevalent in respiratory tract infections caused by RNA viruses in comparison to other sites of infection by RNA viruses, which will see varying environmental pressures.
