Thinking this is the setup ESPN/Sankey will want.
Makes perfect sense for their purposes. $$$
Same 9-game model (3-2-2-2). All in-state rivalries protected. Plus Auburn vs. Georgia, Texas vs. Oklahoma.

Arkansas, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss
Pod C
Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia

Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt

Totally balanced schedule for the top 8 football powers. The two best SEC teams travel to Atlanta for the SEC Championship (highest ranked, season record, head-to-head, selection committee, etc.)...

If they go to pods. I think you should not play home and home with pod. I think you play a pod and then you play another pod. When you come back around you play at home or away the opposite of the last meeting. This way you play everyone every 3 years.

We loose the annual rivalry with Florida, Ole Miss, and Bama. But gain Texas and Oklahoma.

Bottom 8 teams will still have to play a combination (4) of - A&M, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, and Texas.
