Yes there are major issues with upper management at AT&T. Unfortunately the techs and lower level management are pressed on things that the average customer could give a f about. They mostly want to do their jobs and give good service to the customer but are handcuffed by the higher ups. Just recently left the company and have been frustrated with the lazy being rewarded because their numbers look good on a spread sheet. I could keep going on and will monitor this thread but I’m out of there and happy about being gone. Miss the guys and gals I worked with but not the bull shite.

I was talking to one of their customer service people (whom btw I waited almost 25 mins to talk to) and she eventually just started talking shite about the company. She was like "I wish I could give you better news but every department here has been shrinking. Then instead of trying to hire more people, they're just spreading responsibilities from department to department..."

I used to work for a global behemoth like ATT and there were layers and layers of people/mgt and rarely did anybody actually work. We laid off thousand and it didn't seem that anybody that did real work job changed. Apparently, all that group did was fill out TPS reports.

This is also what I am seeing, I do consulting, Engineering for AT&T/ T and they are trying to buy out all of the experienced techs, splicers and Managers and replace them with ( less world knowledgeable people) if you know what I mean,
