They lost that title a long time ago, IMO

What Louisiana breweries would you rank above them?

I’d take Gilla’s best beers over Parish’s best, but Parish is so much more consistent. Gilla puts out some great beers as well as a fair number of mediocre ones, especially when they try to do more conventional beers like pilsners, lagers, and hefeveisens.

Parish Pilsner and Canebreak are both excellent every day conventional beers, and Parish still puts out extremely high quality innovative releases.

Plus, I’m a big fan of their Parish sips series which really is the standard for sour fruity beers. I’ve had some better sours, but Parish ones are always consistently delicious, available, and high quality.

Meh, their Pilsner tastes exactly like canebreak and I don’t care for canebreak. See Parleaux, for good Pilsner examples.

Meh, I don’t find anything they put out to be very innovative. Not saying the other breweries are all innovative either. This state has a problem of considering another hazy as “innovative “ or the weird diabeetus stout or beer for kids thing going on.

Beer is subjective though, just my opinion.

Not this time, what a waste of hops, aluminum cans, labels, and whatever else you may think of….
