Again, PTSD has nothing to do with brain trauma. Brain trauma and rehab is a totally different field.

PTSD refers to mental trauma. Psychological recovery s/p rape, horrible events witnessed, etc.

I have come to believe that PTSD is a symptom of a brain injury.

Shell shock was just a brain injury, caused by the concussive blast of a shell.

In the US, yes. I think there at eight approved uses.

In Russia there are, if I remember correctly more than a 100 approved uses.

The problem is the expense of HBOT, and the fact that it isn’t under patent. So there’s no financial incentive to study it.

While there is a lot of symptom overlap between post concussive syndrome and PTSD, they are most definitely different things. I’ve evaluated a lot of Veterans claiming service connection for TBI in addition to PTSD, but it is pretty much always the PTSD behind their symptoms and not the blast exposure they had 10 years ago causing current memory or attentional issues. With TBI, cognitive issues are immediate and improve in an expected pattern post-injury. You don’t have a lack of problems right after a TBI and then suddenly start to have cognitive issues due that TBI years later.
