I think tj vs yan is a great fight. Both guys tough and great striking, although different backgrounds. Only thing to me is we just see TJ guy out a win with a strong fight mentally with all the pressure and then fighting smart with a knee and a bad cut. Then on the other hand yan makes a bonehead mistake that a top level fighter can’t make in the ring.

I can see where TJ may be able to find more success with his striking against someone his height, as opposed to Sandhagen. Yan has good strike defense though (but not as good as TJ with the movement). Yan is much more formidable in the clinch and his boxing than Sandhagen. And he hits harder than everyone.

They're both Muay Thai guys, only Yan more traditional training in Thailand. Don't think he'll have any problems with TJ's wrestling either and has 90% take down defense. A higher takedown accuracy than TJ too. Younger, more powerful and accurate striker.

Good point and I still can't believe Yan did that. Takes confidence to come in and beat a top ranked, much younger fighter from a two year suspension. But he looked good, not great IMO. Yan looks great.
