Wouldn't a true LSU fan rather watch Auburn/Moo State

I'm an LSU alum and obviously a pretty hard core Tiger fan. Now, I don't go stalk high school recruits at games on Friday night like Dandy Don and some of you freaks, but I know my Tiger sports.
Here's my question: Why aren't there more LSU fans like me who would MUCH prefer to watch Auburn at Mississippi State tonight than make the 2 hour (w/ traffic and weather) trek to Tiger Stadium to watch this dud of a "game" between LSU and NT?
The Auburn/Miss St game is far more important - even to LSU's standings and near future (umm... we play Auburn in 7 days, people) than some crappy team from the SWAC that we're going to slaughter.
So, my tickets to LSU / NT are sitting on my dresser as we speak. They will go unused and I will be watching Auburn/Miss St and USC/OSU while the rest of you sheeple file into Tiger Stadium to waste what could have been a perfectly good evening of college football.

......this isnt going to go over well

so...you are scouting Auburn since we play them next...why? What, exactly, will you do with this information? Adjust your gameplan for gameweek? Provide a complete scouting report to the coaching staff, just in case they don't remember to set their Tivo?

I believe there will be alot of tiger fans doing the same thing.

You should offer your tickets to someone who has helped with the recovery effort in the Baton Rouge area. Then you can sit in your living room and feel good because you actually helped someone by not going to the game.

I HAVE NEVER THOUGHT GOING INTO TIGER STADIUM WAS A WASTE OF TIME

That's a little disengenuous. Obviously fans of one team like to watch the team that they'll be playing the following week for curiosity's sake. Especially when it's the biggest game of the season like LSU/Auburn is.

Your attempt to justify your decision not to go to the game is fairly disingenous. Hell, I sold my season tickets on ebay this year with the plans on sitting in my living room watching games on a new TV all year. But I'm not going to try to justify my decision with some lame post about how "we play Auburn next week".
Just say it, the LSU game is going to suck and I'd rather sit at home and watch Auburn/MSU and OSU/USC. Nothing wrong with that if ya ask me.

An LSU fan likes to watch LSU football more than anything.
I do appreciate your civil disobedience. You disapprove of the scheduling of Sun Belt teams (ie, cupcakes). You have a good message, and you are sending it.
To pay for tickets and not use them is silly. Why not just not buy the tickets? Or sell them?

Maybe everyone doesn't subscribe to your version of what a TRUE Tiger fan is! You think?

Sounds to me like your eitehr an Auburn or Miss St. fan.
I'd say a good 75% of the fun is just showing up and tailgating with all your friends, and it doesnt matter who we're playing, Tiger fans will enjoy watching that team run out the tunnel.
Thats just the way i see it, enjoy the Auburn game, i'll be on campus in about 45 minutes.

That's pretty much it. Plus traffic and weather concerns and this one's a no-brainer.

Weak. How many chances per year do you get to watch the tigers play under the lights in Tiger Stadium? Its an easy decision for me, I'll be supporting my alma mater in Tiger Stadium tonight and doing the same thing in Jordan Hare next week. I'm glad everyone doesn't have your attitude, or our team would playing in front of nobody tonight.

WOW, thats pathetic. I'd much rather watch MY team over anyone else. Back before I went to school here, I would have done anything just to be able to come down to LSU and see a game in Tiger Stadium,...rain or shine, shitty team or ranked team. youre a shitty fan if you'd rather watch moo state/auburn thatn go to tiger stadium on a saturday night.

Not to mention North Texas plays in the Sun Belt and it's not even in the same division as the SWAC.
