With all the talk about local cable companies offering Tigervision free tonight, anybody know if Dish Network is offering it free on channel 464?

I was told that certain parishes were granted free access on DirecTV, Dish, etc.

I can't confirm that, and highly doubt it, but I guess we'll see.

supposedly channel 464. You'll just have to wait and see..no one knows if that's just for La. or for other areas. As it relates to TigerVision who really knows at this point. LIsten to the pre-game on the radio or internets and when 7:00 CST rolls around, pop on 464 and see what happens.

I ordered it on 464 before they said it would be free, but I'm in North LA. I thought it was gonna be on a local channel in BR or on Cox?

Don't know. I can't imagine them or Dish offering it free. Cox is invested in the BR community and a major sponsor of LSU sports. It's a goodwill thing for what BR area residents went through with Gustav. Dish or DirectTV don't have the same interests.

From The Advocate this morning:

quote:

LSU’s live pay-per-view telecast of the game, on TigerVision, will be available free to Cox cable subscribers in the Baton Rouge area on Cable Ch. 4 and to EATEL’s FiberEdge customers.

That telecast will be available on a pay-per-view basis through the rest of the state and other cable/satellite providers. The rest of the nation can see the game on ESPN’s GamePlan package.

The game can also be seen on Direct TV channel 787 and Dish Network channel 464.

From the dishnetwork website:

(Games available outside of ESPN GamePlan)
Check here every week to order individual college football games.

Review the blackout information carefully. There are some college football games available in ESPN GamePlan and available as an individual Pay-Per-View game. If you are blacked out in ESPN GamePlan, you should be able to watch the individual Pay-Per-View college football game.
This Saturday watch (9/13/08):

New Mexico St. vs. Nebraska 7:00 PM ET
Channel 465
Available Nationally

Western Kentucky vs. Alabama 7:00 PM ET
Channel 460
Available only in Kentucky and Alabama

Middle Tennessee St. vs. Kentucky 7:00 PM ET
Channel 457/471
Available only in Kentucky

North Texas vs. LSU 8:00 PM ET
Channel 464
Available only in Louisiana

Each game is $29.95

I think The Advocate made it pretty clear:
quote:

will be available free to Cox cable subscribers in the Baton Rouge area on Cable Ch. 4 and to EATEL’s FiberEdge customers.

Everyone else must pay.

Channel 421 on Dish is Cox Sports. I just saw a plug for the game on there, so it looks like I'll be watching!

espn 360 is going to have it. If you have AT&T as your ISP you are good.
