A friend in the business hates the Nest ... I own Ecobee and it works very well. You are able to install remote probes in other rooms so it knows the temp in more than one room

Got one too. I have sensors in every room which really helps to balance my home's temperature. With a master bedroom pretty much by itself upstairs, and the main thermo downstairs, it allows me to cool accordingly. Without them upstairs was always hot.
