...we've recently learned from Valve that the Steam Deck will not perform differently when docked, unlike the Switch. Instead, Valve prioritises the system for how it expects it to be used most: on the go.
How were you expecting something different

Sounds like it might be a bit rough to play this thing on a 4K big screen tv from the couch.
I mean, I don't know what you expected from an APU. No shite you cant play AAA titles at 4k

Edit: I am really excited about it being a touch screen and it being compatible with basically any USB C dock. This is an absolute no brainer for $400

I said the following elsewhere in this thread:
So I have no idea what gaming specs are required to run things on a PC. I was hoping a dock might be able to give the Steam Deck 4K 30fps performance or 1080p 60fps, but it sounds like they're not aiming that high. I guess my only option would be to hook a gaming PC/laptop up to my tv, because I hate desk/monitor gaming.

So I've been a console gamer forever, but have always wanted a gaming PC so that I could play all the Soulsborne mods. I'll only be using this docked since I'm a couch/tv gamer.
