If you don’t like breath of the wild you just don’t get it. And that’s okay. Honestly the world Zelda shouldn’t even be in the title and people who don’t like it or enjoy it because they didn’t get a Zelda game is a valid opinion to me. And it’s got major flaws like how damage is calculated and armor breaks the whole game. But the sheer balls it had and how it truly was okay here’s a 35 second animated link waking up here’s some clothes go nuts. They don’t love it for the Zelda, the hero of courage or Gannon or whatever honestly unless you seek out the memories you could VERY easily have no fricking clue what is happening why it’s happening or why you care. BoTW2 I expect with expand tremendously on this aspect

For a game where 99% of the content is optional, somehow I ended up playing this game for 60 hours.

I'm not sure though if Nintendo can get as much mileage out of the BotW formula as they did copying Ocarina of Time.

I think doing away with weapons breaking and the stamina meter plus adding actual side quests to fill out the world so that the gameplay isn't just, climb tower, find shrine, do puzzle, gain heartpice, repeat would go a long way.

AC Odyssey (don't laugh) in a lot of ways felt like what I'd like BotW to be.

I would absolutely love to hear the explanation behind the downvoter of my post. Idc about the red arrow im legit curious. BotW is one of the best games of all time. Full stop. Aside from the combat armor breaking system and ability to non stop eat so you have to force a challenge it’s amazing. Literally a pioneer for which decades will emulate. Doesn’t change the fact it’s not really a Zelda game lol. Not 1 of the 12 memories that give what could loosely be called plot are mandatory or even easy to find really. Most will get them all out of order. It’s just not a Zelda game as they’ve typically been. Which is fine as frick because it doesn’t need to be.
