It’s a great idea. It’s “designed and sewn in America”.

I won’t put their link here because Chicken may have a rule against advertisers but I see them all the time for rec’s.

I’m not an advertiser and been here since ‘07. . I’m just a customer. You can google the name of the shade.

But the best part is that the dac poles had an issue with the bungee going bad and not having its polyester sheath around the bungee.

I emailed them and they said to bring it to any retailer.

I did and within 30 seconds I had new poles at a retailer in Oak Island NC. They thanked me for my business while I was walking out.

$250 but great customer service wit the mfg and their retailers.

I prefer the Neso Tents. Haven’t figured out how to attach a photo. Similar design. Light to pack out in the sand. Can be a pain in the arse if the wind direction is from behind you. That doesn’t happen on the gulf too often.

Shibumi shades are great. I haven't had one long, so haven't needed to use the customer service. Glad to hear it's top notch.

They can't be beat for simplicity. I like the style, too.

Thinking of buying some cliq chairs to go with it. Everything would fit in a small beach bag.

Oak Island is covered with those noisy, flapping sumbitches. Nice shade and easy to deal with but they are noisy.

Looking at the Neso and Shibumi as well. Being a dad and designated beast of burden means I now try to purchase beach necessities that pack small and are light as possible.

I ordered a Neso Gigante last week I plan to use this weekend. I also considered the Sun Ninja and this shibumi thing. I saw someone had one set up when I was out fishing and I took a look at it, it looks simple, it looks like it works fine, but it was moderately windy and it was NOISY as hell. I couldn't stand listening to that all day. The Neso gigante packs up into about a 1/3 of the space of a traditional 10X10 canopy, it is bigger (listed at 11X11 but reviewers stretch it out and it is almost 14ft wide set up). I got two extra poles, they fit in the bag, it has a pocket on the side of the bag designed to put a couple drinks in but it fits a 10X10 beach blanket perfect. We have a lightspeed outdoors XL sun shelter, the shelter was great but the first one broke a pole. The warranty replacement doesn't come with a warranty! The second one had a little plastic piece snap where you anchor it down, it looks replaceable but Lightspeed outdoors doesn't have the piece and they won't warranty a warranty replacement. Each one lasted a weekend on the beach... I am hoping for better things from the Neso, and it is MUCH bigger.
