Looks like the direct route would take you within a half hour or so of St. Paul, VA. I haven't been there but we are going for a long weekend next weekend based on a friend's recommendation.
We are staying at this hotel.
On Friday, we are renting ATVs from the hotel and doing the Spearhead Trails.
On Saturday, we are tubing the Clinch River.
On Sunday, we are biking the Creeper Trail. This may be a bit out of your way, as we're doing in on the way home to North Carolina. (I think it's maybe 50 miles from the hotel?)
This video review of the hotel and ATV trails was helpful in leading us to book.
