the country is a long way from something resembling civil war.
I don’t know. The hate is real. What happens if there’s a Lexington moment?

A couple things IMO
- We might need to adjust what we mean by civil war. The idea of huge swaths of the country warring with one another is probably unrealistic. But 1% of the country (or less) engaging in unrest/urban terrorism massively disrupted the nation last year, so you don't really need those swaths, maybe.
- I worry what the spark at the wrong time will mean. Every institution has sought to make 1/6 a huge turning point/blight on America, and I don't think it's really working. but had 10 police officers and a couple of legislators been killed, what do you think would have happened? Perhaps a Biden administration would have gone overboard in response, allowing for patriots who didn't support the 1/6 hypothetical killings to still get on board against a tyrannical state. But if it didn't, or if it did what it's doing now, which is a slow burn overreach, it probably is successful in discrediting any revolutionary/counterrevolutionary fervor because "normal" Americans don't want to see police killed and they don't want to put their jobs and families on the line for a flawed effort.
