On the field, if you define that as a Top 5-10 RB, yes, he does. He was a high-effort, violent, scrappy runner.
Guice is 1 of 5 RBs to ever go over 3000 yards (3 years). He has the record for yards in a game, and 3 of the top 4 games for yards in LSU History. Also 2 of the Top 10 seasons ever for yards.
What's most impressive about all the yards is the YPC. Best in LSU History with a 200-carry minimum. If you make it a 100-carry minimum, only Russell Shepard and Trindon Holliday had a higher YPC.
I'm sure the off-the-field issues will negatively affect how he's remembered, though.
