Like we didn't already have too many threads to keep up with, already

First question-is BW a standard “Bucky Path” action thriller or does it at least suggest some of the weirder aspects of the MCU aka the “Rocket Path”?

Well, this movie is "old" in a couple of ways.

First off, it was made to be released before any of the Disney+ series came out, so I don't think we see much of anything tying it in. Could be wrong, though... perhaps some early references to Zemo, and then whoever hired US Agent at the end of F&WS.

But it would have to be early references, since it's "old" as in set in the past. Not sure how far back, but before Endgame at least.
So with that, I'm waiting for it to come to standard Disney+, not paying for it. She's dead, she doesn't die in this film, nothing dire will happen to her that she eventually doesn't get out of. So there's really little but eye-candy action. That's what happens when you start hop-scotching around timelines (do you hear me, Star Wars?)... when you lose even the semblance of risk, a thriller becomes not very thrilling.

As for Loki, not sure where we're going here. General rule of thumb seems to be, don't introduce a MAJOR character in a series, wait for a movie. But we don't know if Disney is actually following that model.

Pretty sure that went out the window the moment they came up with Disney Plus.

Kang won't be the villain. It will be another Loki who created the TVA

Why is it people only make this complaint for comic based movies but never complain about the lack of risk for movie series like Bond, Bourne, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Fast and Furious or the skillion of other spy/buddy cop/action movies where we know the hero isn't going to die?
