Yeah he just agreed to accept the job of RC and PC for the new ASU coach and left to interview a week later. This was obviously in the works when he accepted the job, so the new HC was probably pretty pissed. Kelly was the only coach retained, so that tells you he was wanted. New coach has to take a stance, so I get it.

I would guess he was fired because he didn’t disclose to his employer that he was interviewing with LSU, misled his employer about his intentions to interview, or misled his employer about his whereabouts while interviewing.
