Remember back in the 90s when they basically said: "You can still be a girl if you don't like traditional girl things. Don't let anyone tell you what defines female. Girls don't have to like the color pink, or wear dresses, and put on make-up. You're still a girl if you like to cut your hair short and wear blue jeans. Those traditional things are just social constructs."

Well now it's basically the exact opposite. Those superficial things ARE what makes a girl. Have a vagina? Not important. Wearing a pink dress today? You're a girl.
