Hey all,
Wanted to take my wife and daughter crabbing and toss a line. I am frequent fresh water fisherman but haven’t fished / crabbed in years. Have a boat. Any reports on crabbing or catching some reds, flounder, sheephead, etc? Any tips would be appreciated.

You ever fish big lake? Same distance as the rock
You can crab and fish by the weirs Throw a dead or live shrimp near and you will certainly catch something

I have seen good crabbing reports out of Rockefeller. I haven't seen many fishing reports. If you find clean moving water with bait you should find fish, fishing has been good from outside Biloxi Marsh to Cocodrie/Dularge the past couple of weeks when you can find clean water.

Launch at Joseph harbor and go drop some chicken hips at the cement weir, mud hole, and LSU weir. One of those will produce

Cement weir produced the best for me this year. And there’s a pier to tie up to so it’s the most convenient one. Bring da cast net, might find some shrimp.
