JJ needs to land him. I’m going to be extremely disappointed if he doesn’t

Ehh if if the kid wants to follow him to LSU that is great and I'd love him. That'd be awesome.

But if the kid is leaning towards staying with Arizona and Jay is aggressively recruiting him to change his mind and get him to Baton Rouge, I think that's in poor taste.

I'd still take him, but that is kind of one of those things that rub me the wrong way.

ETA:

For all you downvoters, what if Ed Orgeron left for Alabama and heavily recruited Kayshon Boutte or Stingley and they left with him.

Or Will Wade left for Kentucky and aggressively recruited one of our best players to come with him.

I'm just saying, it's great if Berry wants to come and has expressed desire to follow his coach. It's another thing if he's leaning towards staying and Jay Johnson is pressuring him really hard to come to LSU with him.

Maybe I'm a pussy in my old age

Why is that in poor taste. Berry put himself in the portal why would he go back to Arizona. He would have never put his name in if he wanted to leave

If the kid really wanted to stay at Arizona he wouldn’t go into the transfer portal.

He doesn’t have to worry about the new coach not playing him or anything. He’s not a fringe scholarship player.

Going after a guy like Susac may be in poor taste (also against NCAA rules but everyone does it) but Berry is in the portal go get him.
