Trump lawyer: Manhattan DA won't charge former President Trump

Cy Vance's team plans to bring narrowly focused charges in its probe of the Trump Organization, Ron Fischetti claims.
Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance has indicated he does not currently plan to charge the Trump Organization with crimes related to allegations of "hush money" payments and real estate value manipulations, according to a personal lawyer for Donald Trump.
Ronald Fischetti, a New York attorney who represents the former president, said on Monday that in a meeting last week, he asked Vance’s team for details on charges they were considering.
According to Fischetti, members of Vance’s team said they were considering bringing charges against the Trump Organization and its individual employees related to alleged failures to pay taxes on corporate benefits and perks. It has been widely reported that those perks included cars and apartments and appear to only involve a small number of executives.
“We asked, ‘Is there anything else?’” Fischetti told POLITICO. “They said, ‘No.’”
“It’s crazy that that’s all they had,” he added.

Vance has spent years investigating the Trump Organization. His team went to the Supreme Court to get authorization to seize Trump’s personal tax returns — meaning his investigators know more than just about anyone about the former president’s finances.
The Washington Post reported last month that Vance’s office convened a grand jury to decide whether or not to bring charges against the Trump Organization or Trump himself.

a) either Trump is as clean as a whistle after all of the investigations
or
b) he made a deal with them he wouldn't run for President.
I am going with 'a' and 'b' because we all know they can and would compose a crime and indict a ham sandwich. If a deal was made good for Trump---I only say there could have been a deal---- because usually they have no problem committing prosecutorial misconduct

I was told Trump was dead in the water.

They were going after Trump because his CFO got perks of cars and apartments. This is ridiculous and is not against the law. CEO's of companies get this in severance pay when they frick up. Didn't the one bank do this with their top dogs even when customers accounts were used? Wells Fargo?

I have a company car and they pay for my corporate apartment when I am working away from home for an extended period of time.
Hell, I even get a bonus once a year and Spot Awards from time to time when I overachieve.
I understand the difference in the "perks" they may be referring to. But C'Mon Man, that's some nit-picky shite!

This is the same as it always is: a fishing expedition to get trump, but if we can’t get him, we’re going to run his name through the mud and have our propagandists make it seem as if he’s guilty anyways, even if he’s not.
Rinse, repeat. Repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat

What makes it even more nit picky is they were trying to call it tax evasion. How fricked up is that?
Like Trump let his CFO have cars and an apartment in Trump tower to hide income.
Notice: this won't be a huge splashy headline. They can't use the mans taxes against him ever again. His taxes for a particular year were released and they were innocuous.

To be clear I only said that because they can compose anything on anyone.
NY needs to take the trash out in DeBlasio, Cuomo, Schumer., The Clinton's sandbagging. I think they cheat the votes.

quote:this kinda sounds like the norm as in tell us why these employees didn't pay taxes on perks...
Vance’s team has told lawyers for Trump that they will proceed with charges unless persuaded otherwise today,
NUNYA Biden gets ya even in death taxes big time now...

Their goal is making people so sick of it they beg for a Pence & Nikki or another guy they want.

Anyone who doesn’t see that this is a political smear job has their eyes closed. Just like the two fake impeachments , just like the Charlottesville lie, just like the mocking of Trump telling the truth about being wiretapped, or the fallen soldiers insult which never was uttered…

A political hack and his team of most likely lawfare blogger Weissmann type of lawyers went through Trump's taxes (even way before this)
They want to Manafort Trump so badly.
Will they still use muh Trump's taxes? My fear is imagine all of their named Get Trump, Gaetz et al... programs names.
Remember Dan Rather saying Trump is a sitting duck in the White House with a hurricane churning? Then we found out about Crossfire Hurricane?
They are so untouchable they name their political spying alinsky hatchet jobs.
I wonder their current names. I wonder if they will just move on to Operation JFK.
