Nice. Does anyone in Tampa know about it or care? Attendance says no.

Attendance is up 40% from last year.

A new stadium on the other side of the Bay would probably help. If it doesn't happen, another year or two of winning, and they will have a stronger fanbase.

A move to Orlando is not a very good idea.

Eh... maybe if they had considered this before they started building a new stadium.

They haven't started building anything. It hasn't even been approved, and I doubt that it will.

It wasn't even voted on let alone approved or in progress, lol.

And why would fans all of a sudden be fanatics? It's their first winning season in TB's existence, if it carries into next season attendance and support should grow even more.

I agree that they need a new stadium in the worst way.

That seems to be the general consensus.

However, I don't have any problems with the Trop

Oh... well, the Trop is still better than anything in Orlando, no?

What do they have there, the Disney Wide World of Sports stadium? Basically a large college or AAA stadium?

I think they have a handful of pro baseball fields as well as some youth ones.

But the Tampa Bay Area is a lot higher populated than Orlando. I think St. Petersburg alone (where the trop is) has a higher population lol

So while it's good as a novelty (Bucs training camp), I don't think there's enough to have a full time sports team there. Magic games always look really empty on TV.

I was a Braves fan before my area had a franchise.

they will be fine if they keep winning... the rays are getting alot of first generation fans now... kids of parents who migrated to the west coast from the midwest or east coast who were probably fans of other teams... now these kids are actually growing up and starting to get real jobs and can afford to buy tickets... its alot like what is happening in Jacksonville with the Jags
