why is it O's job to report these kinda things? if someone commits a crime you need to report it to the police, not the head football coach at Louisiana State University.

Because the HC is responsible for the entire football program including all of the field stuff. Someone has to take responsibility for this. Someone has to be held accountable for any and all crimes. He didnt report it. He knew something was going on. That makes him culpable. There is almost no way he survives this.
