The thing I don't understand is how she was given contracts and earned millions of dollars for her abilities, yet she can't take care of herself.

I see a bad father, bad doctors, bad lawyers, bad influences and major medical issues from being controlled and turned into who she is. I also would say frick everyone around her as they are her friends, yet don't stand up for her. I mean if she's retarded and needs to be controlled, then don't accept cash, time, control etc from her.
