If you don’t know who’s going to win, you will not win.

If you know who’s going to win, you will not win.

I’m always amazed that the last groups to turn in their scorecards often win.

Enjoy the day. Let the big hitters go after somebody puts one in play.
Use mulligans wisely. If all 4 of you miss a putt, you are likely to miss it again.

Approach shots with wedges may be a better use of a mulligan.

You will probably shoot in the mid 50s if there are mulligans and such.
High 40s\low 50s will win.

Some places “handicap” the score.

The best scrambles to enter have great tee gifts and modest prizes.

All good thoughts. I played in a tourney last week at Carter. The course is in fantastic shape and we had a good time but I personally don’t really care for the format. I like to play a full round of golf. My ball, my game, all the good and bad that comes with it. I like the challenge I suppose. We “shot” 14 under and tied for 4th not that it mattered. The winners “shot” -19 cough-bullshite-cough. Whatever. It was for a fundraiser so it was better than not playing but I’m anxious to get back out there and play “for real”
