I’m curious to see if schools that have major business owners backing the program like Oregon and Nike make a big jump. I know Oregon is up there already, but where does it go if Phil can throw out Nike sponsorship to top recruits and not have to hide it.

If I was someone like Bezos from Amazon with FU money, I’d find one of the lowest D-1 programs and try to make them a major player. I’d upgrade facilities, the stadium, coaching and so on and see how much truth there was to money buying championships. I guess we’ll see if the schools that are up there now with numerous big donors can keep pace with schools with big donors and a handful of really rich big donors if they start opening the pocketbooks a little wider.

Schools will start recruiting non alum donors just like they do athletes. LSU needs to get with Elon Musk real quick.

I’m not going to lie and act like I know the ins and outs of the stuff they’re passing right now. This is just me assuming it’ll end up being a free-for-all.

Oregon is one of the schools that I thought of. Endless Nike money to buy California recruits. Just endless.
