The things I like about Vitello are that he is fairly young and that he is a fireball. LSU baseball is badly in need of passion.

Also a much bigger risk than other candidates out there.
It'd be like Kentucky hiring Will Wade after 3 seasons at LSU. I don't think they'd do that.
I wouldn't freak out about Vitello, he could be incredible, but it is definitely risky. He has 3 years as a head coach of an underdog mindset program. We are a different animal.
We also don't know how he'll do with longer term roster management or staff selections. Things that create consistent top 5 programs.
