I don’t give a shite if that’s their reason for preserving the Republic. Thanks to the fricking retards who stayed at home in Georgia, if it weren’t for them the filibuster would be gone, we’d have two new states, and just be swearing in our 13th Supreme Court Justice.

Again to the people who stayed at home in Georgia or encouraged people to do so there, I don’t forget. You are bottom feeding morons and gambled our Republic over the Orange Man when the Orange Man told you to go vote. You should all be in gimp suits, you clowns.

Eh, the election was rigged

They would have found whatever ballots they needed to win both seats

For sake of making a counter-argument, I don't believe for a minute that the senate filibuster rule is or has saved our Republic. In fact, I believe the filibuster is a primary obstacle to the will of the citizens being legislatively enacted though their elected representatives.

Both parties support the filibuster when they are in power. Our Country has unsustainable future entitlement obligations. Congress has not passed an actual budget in what, a decade? Passing budgets on reconciliation is the norm now.

Why not repeal the Senate filibuster and see where the cards fall?

Our Country is overdue for a political reckoning.

We are, after all, a nation of laws and not men. I have more faith in the American citizen than I do the Uniparty's ability to govern.

Voters staying home did not tip the scales.

Where were you fellas on election night during the presidency, are you surprised all the key states came up with just enough votes to swing it.

Same thing happened in Georgia, and if a million more repubs voted you will still have 1.1 million dem votes, I dont care if it was a million over the number of registered voters, they would tell the press to march with a mantra of "old voter rolls" or some nonsense and still ram it through.

Second, how on earth do people think the gop lost the senate when GA flipped. we ALREADY lost it. Mulekosky in Alaska, Collins, Romney and others were already dems already.

And this nonsense, "well they vote with the gop on 70% of the issues, I have news, ALOT of dems vote 70% with the gop on issues. Like pay raises for themselves, special medical plan, adjourning at the drop of a hat, making slush fund "foundations" legal and off limits to scrutiny. A contingency fund for legal fees when they have the urge to brush a few young interns, granddaughters of their peers, or a few young boys.

Manchin could have voted for the filibuster, and he would be out of office if not recalled or shot in the very near future. He sat on his arse while hillary gutted his state and then spit in their eye, face to face, to boot. And he didnt do shat. Without Trump he would have been gone then. He would have made a great Kennedy, or Monty during WW2, stand by and watch the destruction of everything until the uproar is overwhelming, and you have insurmountable support...then ride in like a white knight when you could have fixed it long before.

AMEN!!!...and not voting in that election was unforgivable! If you're one of those Ga. residents who didn't, this shite's on YOU!
The two Democrat Senators who are standing up to their party should be considered HEROES! The pressure on them has got to be unbearable...thank God for'em!
