You can use it as a grill if you like. I don't prefer smoke on my burgers/sausage etc unless I'm smoking sausage.
If I'm grilling I'm not using my traeger. Personal preference I suppose.

I do steaks on my GMG and they come out well. It goes to 500 or 550. Forget which temp

I didn’t mention steaks because I don’t grill steaks. Both my wife and I prefer to cook them on a cast iron skillet on the stove.
