The Subways are awesome. I planned to pick one up before Gibson bought Mesa, now I’m on the fence.
I ran a (Fender Era) SWR 750w heads into a 2x10 and 1x15 SWR cabs for a decade. Tried a Fender Rumble, tried a Quilter Bass Block, still can’t find the tone I’m looking for, so I’m currently ampless. Jealous of all you baws with some nice rigs.

If you have a music store that carries Mesa, they may still have some pre-Gibson Subways in stock. I love those folks at Mesa, but personally I would steer clear of anything made since the Gibson deal. The Subway is powerful and has a great solid tone. Not gonna breakup greatly or get quite the tone of an old SVT tube head, but I let my tube Le Bass preamp do my real tone shaping.

I use a 78 vibrochamp. Works great for at home/bedroom levels.

So I had an Egnater Tweaker for a while and I have come to the conclusion that Egnaters sound the best cranked. After that it just gets muddy and flat.
Since we are playing smaller venues I grabbed a Quilter Aviator Cub and its great. You can play at bedroom levels or also crank it for medium sized stages. It has a DI out as well so I can run it and backing tracks though my mixer into headphones to do a "silent" practice if I need to.

15 watt Fender Superchamp x2. Very nice amp with good effects; it is some sort of modified tube amp. I like to stay on the clean channel and use a Boss Super Overdrive to get some distortion. They go for about $450; I got one in mint condition for $250 at Guitar Center.
