Need a little help here. I had a Netgear AC1750 router. The WiFi strength was never great on it, couldn’t go in my garage and get a signal. So I decided to up grade to a AmpliFi Alien and was going to mesh a second router if I had to to get WiFi where I needed it. So with my old router I had my Apple TV hard wired and it work fine. With the new router nothing loads and it says to check your internet connection. When I go into the settings on the Apple TV it shows connected via Ethernet. But Hulu does load and none of the other apps either. I can connect to WiFi and it works fine.

My equipment is Cox cable internet, Arris SB8200 modem, AmpliFi Alien router and a TP-Link TL-SG116E switch. It all works fine with the Netgear router except for the shitty WiFi signal.

I rebooted everything when changing the routers even went as far as resetting the Apple TV.

Did you copy the same network config to the new router?

You said "

", does this mean NOTHING is connecting or just not the AppleTV? Were any devices assigned static IPs from old network that may be conflicting with IP on new network? Have you tried connecting different device to the network cable that's for the AppleTV? Have you tried switching out the cable? Do the ports on new device have any settings that need to be changed?

Do these 2 first then re-evaluate.
