They have some good speed in the outfield. If they could be coached up to get on base more, they could play very aggressively on the basepaths. He used that style some as an assistant here and I think it could be a way for him to get some early wins before he has a chance to build the talent up to where he would want it.
One thing I’ve noticed about McDonnell is that his teams run as well. Going back to 2015 they’ve stolen 100+ bags every year but one, and that was 98 in 2017.
