So he’s a taller, skinnier Naz Reid

5: Reid
4: Eason
3: Wilkinson
2: Miller
1: Pinson
O'Neal, LeBlanc, Knight, Murray and Gaines as the main 5 off the bench, with Colbert and Fudge also getting time in a SICK 12-man rotation. Ezewiro plays in blowouts, which are often.
Watch Wilkinson make a big emergence as a sophomore who serves as the team's key lockdown defender and transition-basket ace, plus a versatile inside-outside scoring option and a great offensive rebounding threat.
We don't need Mitchell or Days. In fact, I'm not sure we would have a place to put them. This team as it's currently constituted is as good as anybody.
That is assuming all the new pieces fit together well.
The backcourt is set with Miller and Pinson. You have to imagine Reid will start because you don't really waste minutes for one year talent on the bench...even if there are better players at this point in their careers. 3 and 4 will be the spots we won't know about until Nov. I agree that Eason and Wilkinson are the likely candidates to start there because this team DESPARATELY needs rebounding and defense. That could also open the door for Leblanc at the "4". The guy has proven to be a capable rebounder and defender (at Georgetown). It's just a matter of if Wade ACTUALLY, not just lip service, puts huge emphasis there this season.
You would love a frontcourt guy who could space the floor by being a threat from 3. Reid can, on occasion, knock down a 3. But I really see a slightly better Duop Reath type of season from him (remember, Reath was a solid player for Wade in year one 13/5/ 50%+ overall, 40%+ from three). Wilkinson, in very limited shots, showed he can hit a baseline three. If that develops further he could be a (2020) Charles Manning type of player.
Ultimately, regardless of the line up, I'm not worried about LSU scoring. They've done it every year under Wade. Whether this team is good or much, much, better STILL one come down to what has been the fatal flaw of Wade's teams...DEFENSE. If this truly is the year they turn it around on that side of the ball they should be able to compete with anyone. If not, they will likely still be a good team....just one with a ceiling in March.

With Pinson at PG, Miller at SG, Fudge at SF and Colbert (I think) at PF then Reid at C. Your starting 5
That won’t be the starting 5
But do you think that’s a better 5 than the one that severely underachieved last year?

I think Pinson, Miller, Eason and Reid are 4.
The fifth could go a variety of ways

I don't know why you continue to discuss sports. You obviously don't know anything about them.
No, he's not like Naz Reid other than he's tall and has a good looking shot. He's actually got great post moves in his repertoire and is comfortable playing with his back to the basket. Naz Reid really lacked in that area.
He also plays above the rim better on defense. Naz didn't block many shots. This guy can and he will be a great rebounder as well.

He has a really nice hook shot with either hand. He is comfortable facing up & playing with his back to the hoop. He can finish with either hand off the dribble. He can pass too. Has a chance to be our best big man since Shaq !
If he's better than Stromile Swift I would love to see it. The Stro Show was ridiculous and I don't think enough people got to see it. That was my freshman year and we had to skip classes all afternoon just to get in line at the PMAC because the student section would sell out. I would love if anyone would post any of his games on youtube because I can only find one.

I think they are probably comparable defensively around the rim. Efton is not considered a great shot blocker. Actually, the better shot blocker in this class is Colbert.
IMO, his game is most comparable to Duop Reath if we are using only Wade-era LSU player as a comparison. Skilled and fluid around the rim. Can step out and hit a three, but you're not going to make that a focus of your offense. Tall and long, but not a freak athlete. Probably not as good a rebounder as you might hope for in a 7 footer. But far more skilled around than many that size who are just really tall, but not great "basketball players".

Scoring and shooting wise no but a little longer and more athletic on the perimeter

And they haven’t played together. That & shooting are my biggest concern

Hopefully with less restrictions in place this summer they can do a little more together behind the scenes and gel quicker

All those 5 guys are better than Fudge? I thought he was a guy who was going to get a bunch of PT this upcoming year

What about a starting lineup of Pinson, Miller, Days, Reid (PF), Colbert (C)? I love the variations Wade will be able to employ.
