Highly, highly doubt this. It isn't new or made up, but it all of a sudden emerged big time last year.

Imagine not being black and saying you know it's not a thing because you you knew a few black people growing up. Then a black person tells you it was a thing for as long as he's known, and you the non the black person tell him he's wrong


Also, who cares, why would anyone care even one bit if black people wanted to celebrate, it has zero bearing on me or you. None.
