Forgot to mention it, but I was thinking about the basketball team today and it came to me. Sunday night on this show that Jordy Hultberg hosts, he was interviewing Joe Alleva about a bunch of different topics, from the baseball and softball stadiums, to the football game this week, and then Trent Johnson came up. Alleva said that following the storm, Johnson volunteered his time to help with the grounds crew in cleaning up the football field, just thought some of you would like to hear one example of how great of a coach and person we got.

he cant help that the recruit didnt fit his style, i think he's going to do great things at LSU, and he is also a guy with great character that can be a role model to those in support of LSU!

Style had no impact on the loss of J'mison Morgan. A talented wide body center can fit in with any system. Trent Johnson did not elect to release Morgan, Morgan requested the release, most likely after tampering by UCLA>

It would have been a huge dick move to not release Morgan when he transfering out of your conference and to a team not on the schedule.

Johnson is a hell of a coach and I'm glad SC doesn't have to face him twice a year anymore. He's won everywhere he's been, from a mid major with Nevada and a school with a tiny recuriting pool because of academics at Stanford. I'm excited to see what he can do at LSU when he can actually go after recruits

I must admit it is a source of pride hearing about the quality and character of some of the coaches at LSU. In a couple of years bball is going to get real fun at the Pmac. I'd love to see Alleva work out a couple of OOC games with Duke.

I disagree. This was not a pristine move. When UCLA lost Kevin Love to the NBA they began to influence Morgan to request a release. Unfortunately we won't see the gutless NCAA conduct a tampering investigation.
