They seem to be learning, so don't believe you can't train a cat.

Easier to train than dogs, in my experience. Plop a kitten down in the litter box as soon as you bring it home the first time? frickers know from then on exactly where to go for the bathroom.

I’ve owned 6 cats, all knew their name, basic commands (come, stay, outside, food time, crate) and 3 of them would actually play fetch. They’re a lot like dogs, except dogs don’t turn into psychos at 3AM and host track field events in the living room…never understood why cats do that shite.

Congrats OP on your new loyal companion. I love cats and dogs equally; my girlfriend’s shitzu is an abused little rescue dog who will never come out of his shell, but he loves snuggling and running around in the fall leaves. Enjoy all animals for their unique, quirky personalities. Every man should have at least one (non-human) companion in his company at all time.

I don't understand this either but I've learned to accept it.

My cats love to bring captured rodents and birds into the house. They take it into the bathroom and slowly kill it. When it's over, the bathroom's a mess. Feathers or fur is everywhere.
