This sounds gay as hell, but you've bonded. Cats aren't like other animals and sometimes don't have the ability to bond. Those are those nasty, angry feral cats that are strawn around.
Your cat has already bonded with you. It trust you. That's a great sign that you are now the owner of a wonderful cat. Those frickers live forever though, I had one for 18 years once.
Take it too the vet in a few days, get it dewormed and vaccinated. Trust me, you'll want to get it fixed in 3 months so go ahead and schedule that.
