The only way is to have a republican that draws a few, and 2 Dems that split the remaining.

TD could do it by a few hundred users donating a few hours of their time.... but too many republicans tend to only care about their own family and act like bitch arse cowards that would rather run to another parish versus fighting for their city.

For whatever reason saying "someone should do something" is as much effort they can give their convictions.

You don't have to divide and conquer, when they are too lazy/selfish to spend time away from the TV to contribute.

And here's an honest answer.

Can't take the time to vote if it means missing a little tailgating or a tee time.

But also, on this part :

There are a lot more independent voters than you'd think. Pretty much everyone I know rarely votes along party lines. They usually vote for a candidate they like or prefer regardless of the party they belong to. Same thing when it comes to bills and taxes. Most vote against taxes unless it's for something specific like parks or infrastructure or a tax that guarantees everyone pays, like sales or gas tax.

In my experience, more and more people are dropping party affiliation. And the fact that they are almost forced to have to pick one is frustrating as hell for them.

What we need is a candidate who isn't a member of either party, but can relate to both.
