Venus was in an intersection. Someone else got a green light before she made it out of the intersection, because of heavy traffic, and proceeded to accelerate at wide-open throttle into the side of Venus's giant SUV. Her passenger was killed.
I guess you're not supposed to enter an intersection and get stuck, but the true idiot here is not Venus. And that's nowhere near vehicular manslaughter.

You have to really want to impugn someone to interpret that accident as an indictment of their character. She legally entered an intersection and had to stop because a driver illegally turned in front of her and then attempted to clear the intersection and was hit from the side. At worst it was an error in judgment that most drivers would have made.
