To me the reason college will always be better is the connection most fans have to the school. Someone in your family went to that school or you went to that school. I feel like the connection you have spending 3-5 years of your life somewhere is different than going to a stadium for years in the fall only.

No professional sports team can compare in my mind to the entire week of a game when I was at OSU. It's just a magical feeling that builds throughout the week and starting at 5 am on Saturdays there is activity on an amazing campus.

And the connection to a player that chose to go there, and ride it out

I used to feel this way, but now that it’s clear a lot of the players don’t, I don’t know if that connection is as strong.

With instant transfers and now NIL, it seems more like the teams are just a collection of players than a group actually from your university.
