it was his only offer from his list at least, its funny the commitment story lists his speed at 4.5 though. UA had an offensive lineman from mandeville a few years back other than that i cant figure a connection

Arkansas fan tells me he got displaced by the hurricane up there, he showed a tape of him his dad and him put together to Petrino and Co., Arkansas offered on the spot.

good for him. LSU is done at CB unless a gabe lynn or someone like that commits definitely not looking for a commit from this guy right now

Supposedly, that was the situation but not sure since there's not a full story up yet. He committed early this morning at around 6:30.
I think we recruited him to possibly play safety also.

dc i probably wouldnt get overly excited about this pickup. if ULaLa didnt offer after a camp visit then i dont know

I was just giving the info I know. I assume he was good enough to warrant an offer from Ward so I'll trust they know what they're doing.

This is pretty comical. After watching Jerry in person last year I can tell you that he is not SEC calibur other than maybe Vandy (who actually has recruited him pretty hard). Like I have said before, he should have had like 5 more ints than he ended up with last year if he could catch anything at all. And that's not a product of his cover skills as much as it is of the calibur of teams in Mandeville's district. ABSOLUTELY NO WAY IS HE LSU CALIBUR. I can guarantee he isn't and wasn't ever on LSU's board. If he makes it on the field at Arkansas on anything other than special teams (and that's a maybe) I would be very surprised. Petrino is really reaching on this one. I hate to bash the kid because he is a great kid and I am truly happy for him but you Arkansans should know this.

You've got to be kidding me. That was the best block I have ever seen, blindside or not. McKnight did a freaking summersault he hit him so hard. Its so good they rewound it 3 times on the highlights. ON JOE McKNIGHT'S HIGHLIGHT FILM. Your an absolute

I have to agree with this. This kid may in fact not be SEC material, but a blindside hit on a punt return doesn't show that at all.
LSU didn't want the kid. I hope he does very well at Arkansas.
