BELOSO: 0/6, (.000) 1RBI, 2K

This needs to stop.
While Beloso did not register a hit in Eugene, he did hit into a fielders choice which scored Dugas to tie the game on Monday night. Then he was on 1st base during the inexplicable Balk by Somers to give us the lead. Once Beloso moved to 2nd on the Balk, Safford pinch ran and ultimately scored the 9th and final run on Thompson’s single. Beloso’s run turned out to be the game winners, as Oregon scored 1 in the 9th. We definitely need our DH position to improve a lot, and to get on base in Knoxville, but Beloso was a key contributor to our regional clinching game last night.

and for those not aware... a FC does go down as an 0/1 AB... just like if he had actually gotten out

it's not like a sacrifice fly or sacrifice bunt that just goes down in the stats as a plate appearance but not an at bat

ETA: that said... he (obviously) did get a RBI for that run on the FC

None of this excuses 0/6. He's dead weight that needs to be jettisoned.

No he wasn’t. He got lucky on the fielders choice groundout to first. His other two strikeouts were some of the worst at bats I’ve ever seen. Loved beloso last year but something is wrong there. Hopefully a new coaching staff can come in and get him out of his head/fix his hitting approach.
