With the series being a Sat-Mon Series, are there any concerns for our pitching staff?

Alittle more rest than we expected!

All extra pitching done. Does that hurt us any?
Does the rotation change?

Labas struggled after that last 120+ game
Marceaux pitched extra pitches (Bull pen day)(draft stock going up)
Hilliard pitching Twice
Coleman extending
Etc....

I think it sets up great. You’ll have Marceaux with 4 days of rest. Hilliard/Labas with 5 (assuming one of them goes Sunday). Good situation.

Also, gotta hope Coleman can continue with the same confidence he had Sunday.

Hilliard had a more realistic bullpen day than Marceaux. I think we should start Hilliard on Saturday considering how much Marceaux had to battle, plus the little run support we have given Marceaux on Friday nights. You can save him for game 2 then have Labas for game 3 if it gets to that point. Other than that, we should be good to go. Got to find out who else you can count on in big moments

I wonder if we throw Labas for game 1 since he’s the only starter that’ll have proper rest, and he’s the Saturday guy anyways

Marceaux will likely be ready for Saturday.

Hilliard and Labas are the options for Saturday if Landon needs an extra day. I thought both of them looked good in spurts - they just need to put it all together against Tennessee.

Coleman is now a great option in the pen. Edwards and Hellmers are also really good options. Trent has shown that he can eat up some outs. Fontenot is obviously a good back end.

I have concerns with Floyd, since he cannot find his breaking ball. I'm on the fence with Fowler - he's good in spurts. We really need a situational lefty outside of Coleman - Hasty, Brady, and Kaminer have not proven to be the guy but maybe one will emerge in Knoxville. Money and Millas haven't pitched in nearly a month, so I don't trust them.

Sure there are concerns that the extra work these past 4 days taxed them. But it's not something one can worry about because if they didn't push the pitching staff they wouldn't be playing.

It's not ideal...but it's better than not playing at all
