The pharmaceutical industry is rampant with abject corruption. Companies pay billions for the fraud they engage in, but even what goes on legally is an ongoing tragedy.
The advertising is only legal in the US and New Zealand. As absurd as the commercials are, there's a reason they spend money on them, as well all the gifts, catering, etc.
The pharmaceutical/health products industry also spends the most on lobbying.
Enormous profits "treating" "sick" people. Cause correction would eliminate a lot of the "sickness".
