Two years ago We booked a guide through Lakestream fly shop which is right outside Whitefish around the exact date you’re looking to go. I don’t have anything to really compare the fishing to as it was a new experience for us, but we caught some fish and the scenery on the river is incredible. We did a half day trip as a full day would have been a bit much for the wife. I will say a half day felt like plenty time on the water.

Thanks, I was on their website a few minutes ago. I'll probably be solo on this trip. Good to know a half day is plenty of time. I was curious about that as well.
What kind of fish did yall catch? all rainbows? Any variety?
I don't have much to compare as well. My experience with fly fishing is a shakespeare entry flyrod kit and caught some bass and sac-a-lait on a popper.
