Ok CleverBlowHard you started the thread tell us just what do you want to do in Taiwan???

Replace “Taiwan” with “Japan”. You can answer your own question.

What if they moved on Japan? We, and the international community, just sit back and let it happen? South Korea?

You saying we cannot apply any pressure on China at all? We just let them roll through Asia and do what they want? For more cheap shite?

You lead the way.

BTW for years I have advocated allowing the Japanese to re-arm and the US leaving the region. Let those countries in the region settle their own issues.

You can't just do that. That is like pretending that "Ukraine" is "France". Do we now have to go to war in Donbas because we are treaty bound to defend France?

Then we would uphold our treaty obligations to defend Japan and South Korea.... we have no such treaty obligation with Taiwan.

That isn't what I'm saying--can't speak for IB. But generally, we are not the world police force. We are only obligated to defend or protect the countries we have treaty obligations with. Nothing else is our business.
