I'd like to hear your whole story, if you don't mind.

I have Marfan Syndrome. I grew 14" in just over 3 month when I was around 14 that sent the red flags up but I never let it slow me down other than the 3 months of the spurt. I had to be hospitalized for most of it because the bone was growing faster than the tendons, ligaments and skin could. Afterwards I was back to any teenage kid. Fast forward 9 years and I had my first black out. Cardiologist confirmed the Marfans and I had to be careful about everyday task to prevent damage to the heart. Still I continued to work on the arsenal in Huntsville and progressing my career.

Fast forward to age 32 and I got hit with some insane dizzy spells at works and blacked out again near some sensitive equipment. I had to go through a battery of test and the doctors did not clear me for work. I never got to go back to this day.

Marfans is a connective tissue disorder that turns every joint. both tendon and ligaments to brittle. If I damage one there is no healing back up like normal. I'Ve had 7 major surgeries to repair damage done over the years and something a small as laying on my shoulder wrong in my sleep can cause a dislocation. At 40 I was told I have the arthritis of an 80 year old and there is no reversing it. My spine has several bulging and herniated disk and my knees are shot. I was told at 32 I needed a full on shoulder replacement but the doctor refused to do it because I was so young. I had to have 2 reconstructive surgeries and untold sessions of physical therapy to keep it functional.

My body is shot but my mind is willing. Right now my pain management is the only think keeping me upright and moving so when people attack others as pill junkies and addicts I take a personal offence to it and try to break others from this dangerous grouping of people. Hope this helps. If you have any problems that you need to discuss with both physical or mental health from it. I'm always willing to listen and help anyway I can.
