Baton Rouge to Branson Drive

What would be the best location to stop to sleep and spend the day the next day sightseeing, hiking, etc before finishing the drive to Branson? I'm thinking somewhere within 4hrs of Branson.

Better to be fresh before driving the Ozark portion of Hwy 65. Allows for your passengers who get motion sickness to prepare.

Hike Pinnacle Mountain in West Little Rock. Stay in West Little Rock, Maumelle or Conway.

I’d stop in Clinton AR/Greers Ferry Lake area. I think it’s only a couple of hours from Branson. Greers Ferry Lake

Watch out for the speed traps in that last stretch above Conway. One old store is called a “town” with a reduced speed limit

The drive after Conway and Little Rock is really awesome. Save that for the sunrise the next day wherever you stay.

Either northbound or southbound, DO squeeze in Arkansas Scenic Highway 7, either the long way, from Hot Springs to the Missouri border. But definitely experience, at minimum, Russellville to MO on AR-7.
